Mr. R. Perez 8th Grade
Welcome to my 8th grade Pre-Algebra/Algebra class! For this year to be a productive one as well as successful, we all need to do our part to be active and participate fully in class.
Grading Policy:
Daily Work – 25% Daily Work includes but is not limited to, classwork, homework, class participation, binder, and warm-ups.
Quizzes - 35% Pop-Quizzes, Regular Quizzes
Tests – 40% Tests include, but are not limited to, Tests, Benchmarks, Projects, and/or rubrics.
Homework: When homework is assigned, students must turn it in the day indicated in Skyward unless otherwise specified by the instructor. If an absence occurs, students must turn the assignment in within one day for each day absent after returning for full credit. This is the definition of a timely manner for this class. Arrangements can be made with the instructor if an illness issue is a mitigating factor.
Retests: The instructor will designate a date for retest after school or during Kahok Connect if possible. If the student does not attend, then the failing grade will remain.
